Animals change our lives.
We are on a mission
to change their lives.
Contributions from you will enable Sunnybrook ARS to continue to meet our goals and improve the lives of animals in our care. Donations help us save the lives of over 300 animals per year, as well as, various farm animals we have received from farmers who can no longer care for them. Over $7,000 per month is needed to provide veterinary services, food, litter, hay and transportation for these needy animals who live in our rehabilitation and cage-free sanctuary. We ask for your donation to continue helping them.
TO DONATE NOW go to GiveMN.org & search for Sunnybrook Animal Rehabilitation & select it. You will be taken to our donation page.
Sunnybrook Animal Rehabilitation and Sanctuary is a small not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate forever homes for animals who have suffered from neglect, abandonment, abuse, death of their owners, have been injured or just lost, then found. When they come to us they receive veterinary services, time and a safe place to heal. This gives each of them the opportunity to let their personalities shine through. Most importantly they receive kindness and love.
This individualized care is provided by Sunnybrook Animal Rehabilitation and Sanctuary’s director and manager Rebecca - a retired medical professional & current small dairy farmer. Rebecca has always had a special connection to all kinds of animals. Even as a child, she was always bringing home injured animals she found hoping to nurse them back to health-driving her parents crazy! Rebecca takes the time to connect and recognize the special needs & gifts of each animal so she can find them their perfect forever home.
Most of the animals we receive need veterinary services that range from treating a temporary or chronic medical condition to life-saving procedures. Your donation improves and saves lives. On average, Sunnybrook ARS spends about $3,000 a month to provide medical care to the animals in our care.
Sunnybrook ARS receives animals from many situations and in many different conditions. The awful truth is that it takes money to provide the care they need. Your donation can help us cover the cost of providing this care. Sunnybrook ARS averages $7,000 a month for veterinary care, housing, food, supplies & transportation so the animals NEED YOUR SUPPORT.
Your donation is used to provide food, bedding, litter, housing, transportation, and other necessities like bowls, collars, brushes, etc., for the animals receiving rehabilitation and sanctuary services.
Meet Stevie. He came to us after his owner moved & left him behind; Stevie’s neighbor found him two weeks later hiding under a bush in the backyard. Stevie was scared, skittish, and starving. Through our rehabilitation care, Stevie learned to trust people again and he found his forever home.
Meet Odie Coyote. Odie was to be euthanized due to his aggressive behavior. He was a naughty boy beating up the other cats in his home. We took Odie in & watched him interact with the cats in our sanctuary. We noted that he was not neutered. Once he was neutered, Odie’s aggressive behavior disappeared & he became a calm & loving cat. Odie found his forever home with Mark.
Meet Alice. Alice came to us after her owner passed. She was to be euthanized. Luckily, someone heard about Alice’s fate & brought her to us; we found Alice a forever home. Her new family discovered Alice had a SPECIAL GIFT—she knew when her new owner’s blood sugar dropped during the night. Alice would start to paw her Mom to wake her so the low blood sugar could be treated. Two lives saved!
Meet Sesame. Sesame has become a surrogate to the calves surrendered to Sunnybrook ARS. She has become the Mom to many! Our rehabilitation and sanctuary services provide care not only for the calves, but for Sesame as well. The cost of hay and feed continue to rise, so we need your donations to keep our surrogates strong and healthy!
Meet Pywacket. Pywacket’s owner died and she was to be euthanized In 2018. Since coming to Sunnybrook, Pywacket has helped two seniors transition into assisted living facilities. This has given Pywacket the quiet life she needs; and, she gives her Moms all the love they deserve. She loves her new home with Kay.
Meet Snickerdoodle. She came to us after being removed from an abusive home. She had been beaten, stabbed with pins, and her legs & ribs broken. Through our rehabilitation services, Snickerdoodle received lifesaving veterinary and supportive care where she was able to heal in a loving and safe home. Snickerdoodle found her forever home where she flourished and ruled the house!
Your donation makes a difference in the lives of the animals we serve. Any amount will help! Thank you from the bottom our our hearts!
